On this peaceful 3.5-mile paddling experience, we’ll paddle through the Galankin Island and around one of Sitka’s historic landmarks, Rockwell Lighthouse, situated on a rocky outcrop that can only be accessed by water. Kayaking around the Rockwell Lighthouse is an unforgettable adventure that combines outdoor exploration with a glimpse into the rich maritime history of the region. Your experienced guide will provide for safety and instruction. No previous kayaking experience is necessary.

Choose this option to reserve a spot on the guided sea kayak tour on July 28th while in Sitka during the All-Alaska tour. The $175 cost for this tour is due on March 15, 2024 along with the balance of the All-Alaska Tour.

Take a half day kayaking adventure for spectacular views and neat wildlife. After donning your kayaking gear and attending a kayak skills and safety orientation, you will paddle through Sitka’s pristine and tranquil waters, with plenty of opportunities to spot the beautiful Alaska wildlife of the area. Above the surface, you might see sea lions, seals, eagles, and a variety of marine birds, while below the surface, you might see jellyfish, sea stars, crabs, and anenomes. On this peaceful 3.5-mile paddling experience, we’ll paddle through the Galankin Island and around one of Sitka’s historic landmarks, Rockwell Lighthouse, situated on a rocky outcrop that can only be accessed by water.
