2023 WhaleCoast Alaska Acknowledgement and Release Form

By signing below, I acknowledge and accept the risks involved in my participation in the WhaleCoast Alaska tour. These risks include, but are not limited to:

Travel at high speeds in planes, marine vessels, buses, and motor vehicles.
Participation in outdoor activities where I might encounter animals, uneven surfaces, risk of falling, inclement weather, rough water, landslides, and other risks.
Long distances and difficulty reaching medical facilities in the event of injury
Inclement weather, including cold temperatures, wind, rain, lightning.
The risk of contracting communicable diseases, including but not limited to Covid-19, from tour directors, fellow tour participants, tour hosts and volunteers, and the general public.
The risk of being a victim of a violent crime during my tour.

I understand that some of the tour activities offered — including but not limited to hiking, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, and bicycling — may require a level of physical strength, skills, and abilities in order to participate safely. I understand that it is my responsibility to assess my ability to participate safely in any tour activity before participating, and to decline to participate in an activity for which I do not possess the requisite strength, skills, and abilities.

I further understand that I am solely responsible for my own safety and for the security of my belongings.

I acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to read all the information on the WhaleCoast Alaska website and for my tour questions to be answered by representatives of WhaleCoast Alaska.

I understand that tour pictures are routinely used in promotional materials. I agree to allow the use of my photographed and/or videotaped image on the WhaleCoast Alaska website or in other promotional materials without notification or compensation.

I have read the WhaleCoast Alaska Covid-19 policy. I understand that I may be required to test for Covid-19 before and/or during the tour.
